Flip Kitchen AI

Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 August 2026 · version 2026-08-22

These terms cover your use of flipkitchen.ca and the Flip Kitchen AI designer ("the Service"), operated from Canada. By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Flip Kitchen AI is a free design tool. Designing costs nothing and always will: lay a kitchen out in 2D, walk it in 3D, change doors, counters and appliances, and render it. That is the Service, and every account gets all of it without paying.

Paying improves the experience rather than unlocking the tool — higher-grade rendering and image processing, and more room to work. Section 6 sets out what the paid options are and how they work.

Designing is not pricing, and it is not building. The figures the Service can show you are an aid to designing, not a quotation; and nothing here orders, supplies or installs anything. Pricing that you can rely on, and actually getting a kitchen built, are separate from the design tool and go through us or a dealer — see sections 5 and 6. The Service itself is a planning aid, not a construction document and not professional design, engineering or contracting advice.

Measure before you buy. Layouts, dimensions, elevations and quantities produced by the Service are estimates based on what you entered. Before ordering cabinets or starting work, have measurements verified on site by a qualified installer. We are not responsible for material ordered against an unverified plan.

2. Accounts

The design tool and Emma, our assistant, require a free account — sign in with Google, or with Apple in the app. The rest of the site (home page, guides, Learn and Spotlight articles, showroom) stays open to read with no account. Keep your Google or Apple account secure; activity under your sign-in is treated as yours. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the Service.

The first time you sign in, and again whenever we materially revise these terms or the Privacy Policy, you are shown a summary and asked to accept before you start. We record which version you accepted and when — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that record contains and how long it lives. If you would rather not accept, sign out; nothing else happens, and the open parts of the site stay open to you.

3. Your designs and content

You keep ownership of what you create. Your kitchen designs, the photos you upload, your notes and your messages remain yours. Saved designs are private to your account — we do not publish them or show them to other users.

You grant us only the permission needed to operate the Service: to store your design, process it, transmit the parts required to generate a render or a quote, and show it back to you across your devices.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload images or content you do not have permission to use.

4. Renders and sharing them with us

Generating a render sends a screenshot of your 3D design and its settings to an AI image provider — that is how the image gets made.

Separately, we ask whether we may keep a copy of your renders to review and improve image quality. This is optional and off unless you turn it on. The current state is shown under the render and you can change it at any time; turning it off stops any further renders being kept. If you turn it on, you give Flip Kitchen permission to store and internally review those renders and their design settings for the purpose of improving the Service. We will not publish them, sell them, show them to other users, or use them to train third-party AI models. You can ask us to delete your archived renders at any time — see the Privacy Policy.

AI-generated images are interpretations, not photographs of a real product. Finishes, hardware, proportions and lighting in a render may differ from what gets built.

5. Quotes, pricing and getting it built

Pricing is not part of the free design tool. Any figure the Service shows you is an indicative estimate for cabinetry, worked out from the SKUs in your design against current list pricing, and it exists to help you design — to tell you that one layout costs more than another. It is not a quotation and not an offer. It may exclude delivery, installation, countertops, appliances, taxes, modifications and site conditions.

What that figure covers also depends on the catalogue your account can reach, so the same layout can come out differently on different accounts. Neither number is binding. A price you can rely on comes only from a written quote issued by us or by a dealer after a person has reviewed the design.

The same goes for building it. Ordering, supply, delivery, fitting and after-sales are a separate commercial arrangement with us or with a dealer, on its own terms. Nothing you do inside the Service orders anything or commits either of us to a contract to supply.

6. Paid features, membership and GH Coin

Designing is free, so nothing below is required to use the Service. Two things can be bought, and both change the experience rather than the access:

Buying and renewing. Purchases on the website go through PayPal; purchases inside the iOS and Mac app go through Apple, and Apple's own terms govern those. A membership renews automatically until you cancel it, at the price shown when you bought it. We will tell you before a price change takes effect on your subscription.

Cancelling. Cancel any time — with PayPal from your PayPal account, in the app through Apple's subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and you keep membership and anything already credited until that period runs out.

Refunds. Purchases made through Apple are refunded by Apple, not by us. For anything bought on the website, contact us — if a charge was a mistake, or a feature you paid for did not work, we will put it right. Coin that has already been spent on renders we produced is not refundable, because the work was done.

If a paid feature goes away. Features can change (section 9). If we withdraw something you are paying for, we will either replace it with something equivalent or refund the unused part of what you paid for it.

7. Acceptable use

8. Our content

The Service itself — software, 3D models, catalogue data, layouts, text and branding — belongs to Flip Kitchen or its licensors. You may use it to plan your own project and share your own outputs (designs, renders, quotes) freely, including commercially. You may not copy the Service's models, catalogue or code to build a competing product.

No AI training or text and data mining. We expressly reserve all rights to use the Service's content — including its pages, articles, guides, images, renders, 3D models, catalogue data and code — for text and data mining, and for training, fine-tuning, evaluating or grounding machine learning or generative AI systems. No such use is permitted without our prior written licence. This is an express reservation of rights for the purposes of applicable text-and-data-mining exceptions, including Article 4(3) of EU Directive 2019/790. The directives we serve in robots.txt and in the X-Robots-Tag response header (noimageai) are machine-readable expressions of this same reservation, and ignoring them does not make the use permitted.

9. Availability

The Service is provided as-is. Features can change or be withdrawn, AI providers can be slow or unavailable, and we do not promise uninterrupted service or that any particular render will succeed. We do keep backups, but you should export or download anything you cannot afford to lose.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for costs arising from material ordered, work performed, or decisions made on the basis of a design, render or estimate produced by the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under consumer protection legislation.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and disputes belong to the courts of that province, without limiting any mandatory rights you have where you live.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; the date above will change. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept it. Material changes to how your designs or renders are used will be announced in the app before they take effect.
